WELCOME FROM OUR MUSIC DIRECTOR
A very
warm welcome to everyone for the Spring term from me, your Music Director,
Julia Clare.
Firstly I would like to congratulate everyone who took part in the 10th
Anniversary Concert at St. Barnabas Church last July. It was a marvellous
evening of music making.
Now a little about myself:
I am from Huddersfield in Yorkshire and began playing the violin at the age of seven.Later I crossed the pennines and went to Chetham's School of Music in Manchester and then went on to the Northern College of Music.
I joined the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and had a lovely time seeing many
parts of the world. Three years ago I oved to London and have played with
the English Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic and last
year recorded the soundtrack for the Lord of the Rings with the London
Philharmonic Orchestra. I live in Ealing with my husband Malcolm and son
Alasdair.
Iam really looking forward to the start of term.
