HANWELL
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
If
you love to sing, then why don't you join our prize-winning choir? It's
open to all children of 6 years and older.

No sign of nerves as
we get ready to sing.

Hanwell Children's Choir was founded in the 1950's,
and is now administered by Ealing Junior Music School. It provides girls
and boys aged 6-14 with the opportunity of singing high-quality choral
repertoire, in EJMS and local events as well as further afield.
In the last few years HCC has appeared on Sky TV and performed in large-scale
concerts such as Benjamin Britten's War Requiem (Harlow
Chorus, conducted by Sarah Tenant-Flowers), Carl Orff's Carmina
Burana (Epsom Choral Society, conducted by Robin Kimber)
and the world premiere of Paul Ayres's The Christ (Petrus
Singers, conducted by Steve Jones).
Other recent repertoire includes music by Bach (in German), Handel (in
Italian) and popular songs such as Yesterday, The Rhythm of Life, The
Very Thought of You, Take the A-Train, Shenandoah, and so on.
HCC rehearses on Saturdays 10.30am.-11.30am. and new members are always
welcome.
Contact EJMS principal Julia Clare on 07958 711170.
